I am a Integrative Counsellor based in Plymouth, Devon.  PL1 3JE

I am here to work with you using a range of Counselling Theories, from Person-Centred Counselling, to Psychodynamic Therapy. I personally believe combining more than one approach provides my clients, a more effective journey of self-reflection, self-discovery and personal growth. We are all unique and one approach can be a perfect fit for one client, yet the next client, two approaches are more suitable for their counselling journey.

My journey of retraining as a Counsellor began after I was made redundant from a job I loved for 10 years, working as an Assistant Community Library Manager. Followed by a succession of life events a Divorce, Financial Struggles, and Bereavement which I struggled to process on my own. I sought some support from a Counsellor. The invaluable support I received, gave me the desire to retrain to place myself in a position to offer counselling support myself. 

I have lifelong experience of providing emotional support. I can't go anywhere in life, without someone opening up to me telling me their problems, even once in the middle of a bustling theme park. I provide telephone counselling for a mental health app.  Along with over 10 years of counselling experience from my role as a manager. Alongside volunteering as a listener on a mental health website. I've gained lots of insight into the challenges people are facing, and how to delve deeper into individuals troubles, to help individuals untangle themselves from them. 

I believe my own personal challenges, working through them and moving on from them. Provides me with a wealth of personal experience of having navigated through my own inner struggles. Alongside my counselling qualifications allows me to be a Counsellor with an empathetic nature, kind, compassionate, and a great listener.
